When you are approved as a KLEENUP, cleaner you can immediately access local pre-vetted jobs and all you have to do is to select the job you want and tell the customer what you want to be paid and when you want to do the job.
With KLEENUP, you can access jobs in two ways. Either you bid for jobs posted by KLEENUP customers in the marketplace (this is Auction) or you accept proposals sent direct to you by customers (this is Direct Hire).
When a customer uses Auction, the customer is asking you and other cleaners to provide a bid (locked-in price, data/time and comments). If you bid and the customer accepts your bid, you are entering into a binding agreement with the customer.
When the customer uses Direct Hire, the customer is offering you to do the job on a specific date and at a specific locked-in price. If you accept this offer, you are entering into a binding agreement with the customer.
When you have entered into a binding agreement with a customer, you must do the job as specified in the jobs profile in KLEENUP and the customer must pay you for doing the job

Pick the cleaning jobs that you like.
In Auction mode, review the available jobs and bid a locked-in (all inclusive) price and let the customer know what day and time work for you.
In Direct Hire look for offers from customers directly to you. Decide if the price and time is right for you and let the customer know.
5 Get paid and gain experience
Finish the job on time and to the specifications in the job description and get paid quickly.

How does it work?
Here are the basics:
- KLEENUP is a marketplace connecting the very best local cleaners with the very best local cleaning jobs
- KLEENUP works as an auction where customers post jobs and cleaners bid on jobs they like
- If a cleaner bids on a job and the customer selects the cleaner’s bid, the cleaner and customer automatically enters into a binding agreement.
- KLEENUP manages the payments. Before the cleaning job starts, the customer pays via KLEENUP. When the job is completed, payout to the cleaner is made by KLEENUP.
- If there is any dispute, KLEENUP works to resolve it.
It’s simple:
- The customer describes a job in KLEENUP
- You see the job in KLEENUP
- You bid whatever price you think is right together with information about the day and time you can do the job, remembering that if the customer picks your bid, the price is binding – this means you must do the job and the customer must pay you.
- If the customer picks you, you do the job and get paid
- If the customer likes what you did on this job, the customer may in the future hire you directly through KLEENUP
How much do I get paid?
How much you get paid depends entirely on you and the customer.
When you and the customer sets a price through KLEENUP, that price is locked-in and the price is what you will be paid if the job is completed on time and correctly.
Generally, KLEENUP will charge the customer the full amount before the job starts and pay you five days after the job completes and a 24 hour dispute window settles without a dispute being raised.
As of 12/24/2025, the average job price was above $275. However, this price average fluctuates over time and your average may be different.
How long does it take me to get paid?
With KLEENUP, pay-out is quick.
Once the job is complete and the dispute window closes without a dispute being raised, payout are processed within five working days in accordance with the Terms of Service.
What is a dispute?
Dispute is a key concept in KLEENUP.
KLEENUP is a fair and transparent marketplace connecting the very best local cleaners with the very best local cleaning jobs. With KLEENUP, cleaning jobs are described in a way that is very clear and once a cleaner and customer agrees on price, the cleaner and customer enters into a binding agreement.
A binding agreement means that you must do the job according to the customer’s job description in KLEENUP and that the customer must pay you the the price you agreed-to (the locked-in price)
While the job is happening and for 24 hours after the job is completed you and the customer can raise a dispute.
A dispute is a way of saying that something was wrong (the customer asked you to do something that was not included, for instance). Disputes are handled by KLEENUP. Once a dispute is raised by you or the customer, the money that KLEENUP charged the customer is frozen (you cannot access them and the customer cannot access them) until the dispute is resolved.
The most important things to remember are that disputes can be raised by you or the customers and disputes are resolved by KLEENUP. This is consistent with the core values that KLEENUP is a fair and safe marketplace for all participants.
What is a locked-in price?
Locked in prices is a key concept in KLEENUP.
KLEENUP is a marketplace connecting the very best local cleaners with the very best local cleaning jobs. With KLEENUP, cleaning jobs are described in a way that is very clear and once a cleaner and customer agrees on a locked-in price, the cleaner and customer enters into a binding agreement.
A binding agreement means that you must do the job according to the customer’s job description in KLEENUP and the customer must pay you at the locked-in price you agreed-to.
KLEENUP is designed to remove negotiations and uncertainty between customers and cleaners. The customers’ job descriptions in KLEENUP provide enough information for you to bid a fixed price, which removes doubt, uncertainty, walk-throughs and negotiations.
Simply put, when you see a job in KLEENUP, you bid a fixed bid based on the job description and that price is the final price, i.e. is locked-in.
A locked-in price cannot be negotiated, it cannot be argued and it cannot be changed. Before the job starts, KLEENUP charges the customer the amount and holds the money in trust for you.
The most important things to remember are that locked-in prices are part of a binding agreement and cannot be negotiated. If you and the customer disagrees about what is included in the job, you should do what the customer wants and then raise a dispute. You should never argue with the customer about the job and the price while on-site, but instead raise a dispute and leave it to KLEENUP to investigate and resolve the disputes.
Locked-in prices are consistent with the core values that KLEENUP is a transparent and safe marketplace for all participants.
What are the best paying jobs?
You set the price, so what you get paid depends on what you bid.
Generally, customers pay substantially more for same day jobs, so if you want to get the best paying jobs, bid for the same day/last minute jobs.
To maximize your take-home pay, take advantage of the ability to schedule jobs to minimize travel time.
Do I have to accept every job?
No, you – and only you – choose what jobs you want.
With KLEENUP you have the flexibility to choose only the job that suits you. There is no penalty for not taking jobs.
Accept only the jobs that fit your schedule and preferences and pays what you want.
Can I set my own schedule?
Yes, you’re in full control of your schedule.

Do I have to stay in one area?
