Sorry, our lawyers make us do it... The KLEENUP Referral Program is an invitation-only participation program, where KLEENUP INC is the sole decider on who can participate in the program. The referral program is governed by the applicable referral agreement. The referral agreement is a binding agreement between participants and KLEENUP INC. Participants must be 18 or older (no exceptions), must be Maryland residents (again, no exceptions), must be U.S. Citizens or legal U.S. residents AND cannot be EU citizens (don't look at us... Blame GPDR!) Participants are solely responsible for taxes and KLEENUP INC collects W9 tax information and reports payouts to relevant tax authorities, including 1099 reporting (and, again, no exceptions.). Participation requires the entry into a referral agreement with KLEENUP INC, which lays out the terms and conditions governing participation and earn out. Earn out under the referral program is limited to one year and subject to the restrictions laid out in the referral agreement. Rules and restrictions apply and participants' rights to resolve conflicts and seek recourse are limited in accordance with the referral agreement. The referral agreement is subject to Maryland laws.

How does it work?
Here are the basics:
- KLEENUP is a marketplace connecting cleaners with local cleaning jobs
- If a cleaner completes a job for a customer, KLEENUP receives a platform fee from the cleaner.
- When you refer a customer, and the referral is accepted by KLEENUP, subject to the terms of a referral agreement between you and KLEENUP INC, you will for some period (normally one year from the date of the referral, but check the referral agreement) be eligible to receive a part of the platform fee from KLEENUP.
- There is lots of small print, but this is the most important thing to know.
It’s simple:
- You fill out the referral agreement interest form above and receive a referral agreement.
- You sign the referral agreement.
- You let us know who you want to refer… you can call us or email us.
- If we approve your referral, you are in business and we will start making payments to you when the referral pays for cleaning.
- That’s it.
How much do I get paid?
How much you get paid depends on how much money your referrals spend with KLEENUP.
Referral fees are computed as a percentage of the amounts that KLEENUP is paid as the result of your referrals actvities through KLEENUP. Refer to your referral agreement for details about the computations applied when determining referral fees.
We can’t predict how much you will be paid, but if you refer 10 family members and friends, then you will probably receive a tidy sum if your referrals arrange cleaning through KLEENUP fairly regularly.

How long does it take me to get paid?
With KLEENUP, pay-out is quick.
KLEENUP will try to get you paid within 30 days of receiving the corresponding payments from your referrals. This is not a guarantee, but, rather, a statement of KLEENUP’s goal.
Generally, payment is quicker if you specify electronic payment (such as Zelle). Instead of Zelle.

Is there fine print?
Of course there is fine print. What a silly question!
The fine print is in the referral agreement. You should read it carefully and make sure you understand it before you sign it. It explains how and when you will get paid and also tells you what rights you have if there is a disagreement between you and KLEENUP INC about the referral agreement.
Why must I sign up to KLEENUP to earn
The KLEENUP core values are transparency and fairness, so our referral program is designed to be transparent and fair.
For referrals to be fair, referrers must – as a minimum – know what are service is and what their referrals will experience. In fact, we go further and say that we want you to be an ambassador for KLEENUP, explaining to your referrals not only what KLEENUP is, but why you are yourself using KLEENUP and can’t imagine not having KLEENUP availble.
Therefore, fairness requires that you must not only know what KLEENUP is, but also have experienced it directly. And if you are referring your friends, you probably want to have that be the case anyway…

When and how can I add referrals?
As long as the referral agreement is in effect, you can add referrals.
Unless the referral agreement says something different, you can add referrals anytime the referral agreement is in effect by simply letting us know.
Eligibility of a referral is subject to KLEENUP’s sole discretion, so when you make a referral we will let you know whether this referral is eligible or not. This process might take some time, so get your referrals in early.

Can I refer cleaners as well?
Yep, if your referral agreement allows, you can refer cleaners.
If referring cleaners is allowed under your referral agreement, you can refer cleaners to us the same way that you refer customers.
The idea is the same as referral of customers. If a cleaner referral is eligible, you will receive a percentage of whatever KLEENUP earns from the activities of the cleaner through KLEENUP. Note that the percentages used to compute referral fees for cleaner referrals and customer referrals are different.
